International Emergency
  Relief Fund

Natural and Human-Caused Disasters affect millions of people worldwide every year. Millions of others are forcibly displaced either within or beyond their national borders.  UCC Disaster Ministries and UCC Refugee Ministries are well positioned to respond in most parts of the world through our longstanding partnerships and connections. Donations to the International Emergency Relief Fund enable the United Church of Christ to support refugee emergencies as well as disaster relief efforts, long-term rehabilitation, advocacy and sustainability efforts.

If you prefer to donate by mail, make checks payable to the United Church of Christ, with "International Emergency Relief Fund" in the memo..   Mail to: United Church of Christ c/o Financial Services, 700 Prospect Ave E, Cleveland OH 44115-1100

Un-designated giving allows the United Church of Christ to respond where resources are needed most but if you prefer to designate your gift you may do so by noting the disaster or refugee emergency in the designated box on the on-line form or in the memo line of the check.

100% of funds to the United Church of Christ designated for disaster relief or refugee emergencies are used for disaster relief and rehabilitation programming or for providing humanitarian assistance for refugee resettlement/ immigration emergencies.

*Funds raised, in response to a specific solicitation, that exceed the amount necessary to respond fully to the designated disaster or refugee emergency will be directed towards other international emergency-relief and disaster-preparedness efforts.

Neighbors in Need (NIN)

Neighbors in Need is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects through grants.  Neighbors in Need grants are awarded to churches and organizations doing justice work in their communities. These grants fund projects whose work ranges from direct service to community organizing and advocacy to address systemic injustice. Funding is provided through donations to the Neighbors in Need offering.
